What the program is
NEUROSEEDU is an early childhood development program founded to support the cognitive, social-emotional and learning-based development of children aged 3–10. The program treats development not as a matter of isolated skill training, but as a matter of the quality of the relational, bodily and linguistic environment the child lives in. This approach forms the program’s core concept: an embedded co-regulation ecology. The child is not an isolated subject to be supported, but an actor within three ecologies — the center, the home and the school — that must be strengthened as a whole.
Why this model
The program’s design rests directly on the field’s meta-analytic findings of recent years. A meta-analysis published in Child Neuropsychology in 2026, covering 35 randomized and quasi-experimental studies, documented that executive function interventions based on isolated cognitive exercise produce very small effect sizes in typically developing children aged 3–6 (d = 0.13 for verbal working memory, d = 0.10 for inhibitory control, d = 0.02 for non-verbal working memory).
By contrast, a systematic review published in the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity in 2025, covering 22 randomized controlled trials, shows that cognitively engaging physical activity interventions produce moderate-to-large effects (d > 0.5) on executive function, inhibitory control and attention. And in a meta-analysis of 27 studies of interventions targeting the parent–child relationship directly, the pooled effect size was reported as g = 1.08.
This picture points to a single conclusion: what most strongly supports a child’s development is not a single exercise applied to the child, but the quality of the ecology the child lives in throughout the day. NEUROSEEDU is designed to turn that finding into an operational model.
Program architecture
The program works in three settings at the same time.
Center
Sessions with the child are held once a week, lasting 45–75 minutes depending on age group, and are entirely screen-free. Each session has five fixed stages: opening and safety, body and rhythm, the main module activity, reflection and putting things into words, and closing with the family bridge. No skill is trained as an isolated exercise; every skill is supported embedded in play, movement, discovery and conversation.
Home
Each week the skill worked on at the center is passed to the parent as a concrete one- to two-minute micro-routine. This routine is not added on top of the family’s day; it settles inside it. Family coaching is not a side component of the program but its co-center, the one with the strongest evidence behind it.
School
With the family’s consent, a short thematic bridge is shared with the teacher every two weeks. This sharing contains no diagnostic or assessment information and adds no workload for the teacher; it conveys only the theme of the week and a shared phrase that can be recognized in the classroom.
Curriculum structure
The program is built on six curriculum modules:

The modules are designed not as independent lessons but as integrated channels, at least two or three of which run simultaneously in every session. Delivery runs in 12-week terms across four three-week phases: establishing foundations, opening up skills, consolidation and transfer, and synthesis and bridging.
The role and limits of artificial intelligence
NEUROSEEDU’s artificial intelligence component is defined by three principles.
First, artificial intelligence does not communicate with the child. No generative or conversational AI directed at the child is used in any component of the program.
Second, center sessions are entirely screen-free.
Third, the digital component is a measurement instrument. NeuroSeed Junior World, developed for ages 4–6, consists of gamified adaptations of developmental science’s standard measurement paradigms (go/no-go, stop-signal, Corsi, n-back, DCCS, flanker, false-belief tasks). The role of artificial intelligence here is limited to adaptive difficulty calibration and behavioral data generation. Sessions last 3–10 minutes; there is no infinite content feed, no variable-ratio reward loop, no notifications, no advertising and no in-app purchases.
Together these three principles produce the program’s position: artificial intelligence serves not the child, but the adult caring for the child.
Measurement and scientific stance
At the start, middle and end of each term, the program uses standard measurement instruments (BRIEF-P, HTKS, PETA-TR, CHEXI, SDQ) together with its own observation and assessment system. Multi-source triangulation is essential: practitioner observation, family self-report, the child’s own reflection and, where available, teacher observation are combined.
NEUROSEEDU is committed to four ethical principles: it makes no claim of clinical diagnosis or treatment and refers families to an appropriate specialist when needed; it uses language that recognizes a developmental support need rather than labeling the child; it approaches parents with an empowering rather than a blaming frame; and it uses the language of neuroscience with care, keeping clearly away from neuromyths. Children’s data is processed within the framework of KVKK and GDPR.
Founding
NEUROSEEDU was founded by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Deniz Öztürk. Öztürk is a faculty member at Giresun University and a researcher at Indiana University Bloomington; she works in early childhood education, executive functions and early STEM pedagogy.
